One Day I May Forget

I cannot be upset with you
Try as I might I cannot hate you
The pain and tormenting of my heart
Pale in comparison to my love for you

How could I think ill of you?
I love you
How could I wish for anything but your happiness?
I love you

Your words sting
Boring its way forcibly into my soul
Tearing me to shreds and separating me from reality
Demanding that I should cry, and suffer, and re-live each painful moment
When your tone convinced me that you no longer wanted me

And still
I cannot hate you
I will not hurt you
I will ask for nothing other than to forget

I want to sleep at night
Without the fear of being driven into madness in a vulnerable dream
Maybe one day I will forget
I’ll forget the grief, the pain, the hurt, and the endless tears

The burning in my heart is not from you
It is for you
You are not the cause of it, but rather the reason for it
One day I may forget
But today, as I have since the beginning
I will love you

i really like this one
i think this one conveys my true feelings
after all the cloudiness and reactionary (is that a word) feelings have subsided, and the smoke settles this is what is left

when all is said and done, this is my truth

as always you have a beautiful way to express your feeling...

I dont understand why people can give you the feeling of being loved and wanted...Then turn around and say I dont need you anymore..Then we're left standing holding our heart in our hand wondering where we went wrong..I dont know,I just dont know....
