| basically our state is poor, so money has to be made up, or budgets cut, or whatever. our education system is taking one for the team, where there is no instruction on certain fridays in a month/thru the year, which are furlough days. hence, "furlough fridays" | |

| same here in Cali, bro... some school have their furlough's on Wednesday... and frankly I think it sucks, that everytime there needs to be a budget cut, the schools take the fall.
why does these government officials poke education off the diving board, first? why not tax the rich mofos to gain back some cash.... oh right, bc those rich mofos are lobbying them!

| normally this wouldn't affect me, but i rent my studio from a high school teacher. the teacher's took a pay cut, and i get a pretty solid deal on rent so i don't need her raising it to make up for her some loss of income... | |

| Ooh, don't even get me started! HI is already ranked towards the bottom when it comes to the No Child Left Behind Act. So what -- now we're going to have the shortest school year in the nation ?!?!?! WTF ?!!?!? Sure, our kids are already failing so let's give them LESS SCHOOL TIME !!!! Ummm....yeahhh...that's BRILLIANT!!! I'm hoping this rainy fund thing goes through. But, hello, dodo heads! Why didn't you guys think of that before?!?! You cannot place a price on our childrens' education!!!! | |

hahhah... dodo heads? i agree w/ children education should NOT suffer (be the first to go) because the governor sucks ass in budgeting the States wealth. Our stupid Governator is screwing things up in Cali, and I'm glad he's on his way out... A lot of my profs from 2 semesters ago got laid off, then these furloughs came into play, and now CA taxes is rising every 6 months!! it jumped from 9.25 to 10 in a 3 month span! ...damn Arnold..
