Paradox of my Love
Bryson Lopez

I have crossed the eternal boundaries of Heaven
Yet my comfort lies in the tormenting flames of my Hell
A rising sun shines brightly on this love renewed
It is engulfed in the darkest and loneliest of shadows
Passion simmers like the searing embers of a stifled fire
I savor the bitter taste of a wounded heart
Shelter is sought deep in the recesses of my cold and desolate void
Resurrected joy seeks only to create this unbearable weight
Hope is a gentle breeze soothing with feathered caress
Gliding through my blackened skies
Drenched in the storms of sorrow
This battle scarred heart cries out in utter desperation
Willing to surrender to the certainty of any given fate
Unbridled desire scathes every fiber of my tortured being
In passionate embrace the essence of my soul is torn
Though eternity and a day should pass
I offer myself no forgiveness
It is my very weakness that is the strength
Of this unconditional love
