| I could be wrong, but I think "gurl" is Southern in origin. At least, I tend to see it used mainly by those from the South. I hear ya, though. I hate BOI and WAT. My friend always uses "wat" when she text msgs me. I know there are others that irk me. Just can't think of them right now!  | |

| ^^^^^ I only use it in that way also. Sorry, I may be from Kalihi and all DAT, but I hate when people type AURRRIIIIII. That one really irks me !!! As for "dat", I hate when people are being serious with me, but they type the word DAT as in "Was DAT okay?"  | |
